How we got started

…..warm trade winds gently blow….

…..the tropical sun warms the thatch roof…

…. the "Sapphire Blue" water laps the rocky shore….

…. And there are literally thousands of hand written crayon notes, poems and sayings covering every square inch of this little shack. And if you ever visit Antigua's Pineapple Beach Club and hike up the hill to the little shack where they serve tortilla wrapped hot dogs and Red Stripe for lunch you will find a hand written note, scribed in February of 1993, coining the phrase SAPPHIRE AVIATION WAS BORN HERE.

Two and a half years later, in the fall of 1995 Dana and David left the comfort of their paying jobs to follow this dream. January 5th 1996, Sapphire Aviation, Inc. flew its inaugural flight to Great Harbour Cay. We have been serving Great Harbour, and the rest of the Bahamas ever since.
